Week ending July 22, 2002
VG34: it's done, it's in the crate, it's on the plane!
VG35: the final buffing is done, and it's time to glue the parts on
VG35: final assembly and testing of the electronics package
VG35 - the peghead is being drilled for the tuning machines
VG35: Here the tuner display is installed in the keybox in preparation for gluing to the body
VG36: the outer course of the binding plaques is glued in. Each plaque is fitted individually, as are the dividers between the plaques.
Pimpard: the wheel blank has been turned to shape - here the wheel's fit in the wheel hole is being checked.
: Pimpard: The crank has been cleaned and reblued.
Germain: pins (shown by arrows) are installed to doubly secure the keybox to the soundboard. The numerous nails installed by a previous repairer were left in place, and the large staple which had held the peghead to the head block was removed..
Germain: the back assembly is reglued to the body
