The progress reportsEach week (hopefully) we update this page with new photos of instruments in progress. The updates are usually made on Monday. We hope that you enjoy seeing the progress on your instrument and those of others who have them on order. |

Week ending October 21, 2002
The hard rock maple lumber is being jointed and planed for the peghead of VG36 (and a few others, we hope!!)
The blank is cut to length, then milled flat on one end. Here the mortices (slots) for the keybox sides are being cut.
Cutting out the peghead blank for VG36
The blank has been filed and sanded to shape, and the cavity in the underside is being milled.
LB4 gets the last set of walnut dividers between the ribs glued in.
The Doyle has its keybox removed so the soundboard split can be repaired.
Wheel blanks for the Doyle (on the left) and the Grandchamp (on the right) are being glued up.
See last week for more pictures. Please contact us if you have comments or questions about this page or other pages on this site.
