The progress reports

Each week we update this page with new photos of instruments in progress. The updates will usually be sometime on Monday, which is the end of our work week.

We hope that you enjoy seeing the progress on your instrument and those of others who have them on order.

Week ending February 10, 2003

The first crocus of spring!

LB4: roughing out the braces

:

VG36: drilling the circuit board for the tuner

VG36: Lasering one of the keybox sides

VG37: The finish on the body is done and ready for gluing on the parts

VG39: shaping the wheel cover and masking for the blocks

Justin's: masking continues

VG40: fitting the soundboard in place

VG40: gluing the soundboard

VG40: starting to cut the binding channel, with the body held on a new positioning jig

The Pajot: gluing the first half of the "wheel blank sandwich"

Grandchamp: Almost done! The wheel angle is set, and most of the setup is done.

A new combination of timer, dimmer and GFCI for controlling silicone heating blankets on bending jigs. With new forms, this will greatly improve our efficiency (and safety) on lutebacks and the new Esprit model.

The best for last - the Over the Water annual meeting was held at our house on Sunday, and we got to play some great tunes together. Thanks to everyone who came: you are always in our hearts and minds.

See other weeks for more pictures.
