The progress reports

Each week we update this page with new photos of instruments in progress. The updates will usually be sometime on Monday, which is the end of our work week.

We hope that you enjoy seeing the progress on your instrument and those of others who have them on order.

Week ending September 29, 2003

OK, pictures again ;-)

Fixing George's crank for the festival - trust me, you don't want to know what the spatula and the mousetrap are for.

VG36 in its final operational test: The Justin Test.

At the festival, Cali shows off the new Esprit (now renamed the Orca) for RT Taylor

At the dance, Gilles puts his class through their paces at the dance.

Gilles and Alain at Lake Crescent

At the Hoh Rain Forest, the whole gang poses in front of a giant Sitka spruce.

Justin shows off another of his talents: tree magnetism

"Operator? I've been waiting a very long time to be connected..."

Ruby Beach at low tide at sunset - did we luck out or what?

"C'est tres GQ, Gilles!"

Fans of Christophe Tellart will note that there are no photos of him, or of any of the other people who stayed with us before the festival. This has nothing to do with the regard in which we hold him, and everything to do with being to frazzled to remember where the camera was, much less that I should pick it up and use it. Sorry, folks. ;-(

Back in the shop:

LB5: peghead blanks cut out (only one is needed ;-) )

LB5: gluing on the exterior head block

LB5: fitting the ribs

See last week, or next week, or the index of other weeks for more pictures.
