The progress reports

Each week we update this page with new photos of instruments in progress. The updates will usually be on Tuesday.

We hope that you enjoy seeing the progress on your instrument and those of others who have them on order.

Week ending June 8, 2004

See last week, or next week, or the index of other weeks for more pictures.

I write this from my chair in front of the TV, where I'm sitting watching the second season of "The West Wing". Unfortunately I have a head cold, which is giving me the sensation of having an incredible hangover without the fun of drinking. Grumph.

We (specifically Justin) cleared the limbs of the largest downed tree.

Here's Justin at the top of the leftover trunk.

It's still not all cleared, but it's better than it was.

We had some house guests this week: my cousins Derek and Hilary Hackmann. We hope you had a good time, guys, because it was fun for us!

LB5: Working on carving the peghead

LB5: the peghead carving is done - now I just need to finish the sides of the peghead.

LB5: the peghead from the back

LB5: the body, finished, just waiting for the peghead

OR4, OR5, OR6, and OR7: the soundboards are cut out and ready to glue

OR5: a closer view

OR3: Cali found a new casting material for the key fronts. Cool, huh?

A new addition to the aquarium: Odo the otocinclus.
