The progress reports

Each week we update this page with new photos of instruments in progress. The updates will usually be on Tuesday.

We hope that you enjoy seeing the progress on your instrument and those of others who have them on order.

This year we are happy to welcome Pavel and Chris to our shop. I missed snapping a shot of Pavel. Here's Chris, no doubt carefully considering sage advice from Cali...

We did take a little time off for a Christmas Eve celebration with the Reil family.

Following our Christmas Day tradition, we spent most of the day working on one wall of our bedroom. When it's done, it will have paneling on the lower part and burgandy, gold, and green stripes flanked by very fine Celtic knotwork on the upper part. Of course here it doesn't look like much, because so much of the work involved removing the deep texturing that was already on the wall.

.

Here we are a bit farther on, with the wall painted its base color and the first stripes being painted.

Thanks for watching - tune in next week!
