The progress reports

Each week (hopefully) we update this page with new photos of instruments in progress. The updates are usually made on Monday.

We hope that you enjoy seeing the progress on your instrument and those of others who have them on order.

Week ending July 1, 2002

The first components of the amplification system are installed in VG34.

The peghead, wheel cover and keybox top for VG35 are being finished...

...as are the body and keybox..

VG36 has the soundboard glued on

The Pimpard shaft is done, and the body has been redrilled for the bearings.

Preparing to flatten the inside of one half of the Pimpard wheel on the planer. The wheel halves will be used as veneer...

glued to a piece of stable laminated birch in a "sandwich".

The Germain returned safely, and we decided to remove the back so the inside parts could be stabilized.

See last week for more pictures.
