The progress reports

Each week (hopefully) we update this page with new photos of instruments in progress. The updates are usually made on Monday.

We hope that you enjoy seeing the progress on your instrument and those of others who have them on order.

Week ending October 6, 2002

We've had house guests this week, from the festival: Graham Whyte and Marcello Bono. We spent a lot of time on Graham's two gurdies, the Colson and the Germaine, and no photos ;-( For the festival, you'll have to rely on the Over the Water site, as it turns out we didn't take very many with the digital camera.

We do have a few pictures this week:

On Thursday (which is usually designated as Gardening Day if possible) we planted some daffodil and iris bulbs in the back yard, and worked on making a path from the shop to the studio. Here is Graham (who we shamelessly pressed into service) and myself working on the edging of the path, which we filled with wood chips. We finished the path, but the picture didn't come out. ;-(

Inspired by the pointy stakes, I try out my Buffy the Vampire Slayer act on Graham. ;-) (He doesn't seem too worried, does he?)

This is a hurdy-gurdy from a company which is no longer in business. We found that while it didn't play very well, it made an excellent planter box. It was sold at the Over the Water auction.

See last week for more pictures.
